Charmaine is a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. She received her Bachelors of Science degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Political Science in 1993, graduating from the University Magna Cum Laude. Charmaine obtained her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts in 1999. During her law school career, she interned at the Department of Environmental Protection in Boston, Massachusetts. After graduation, Charmaine Clerked at the Office of General Counsel for the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration in Gloucester, Massachusetts. In 2000, she became employed as an Associate with the Law Office of John J. McGlynn, Jr. in Salem and Boston, Massachusetts, where she litigated matters in probate and family courts throughout the Commonwealth. In 2004, Charmaine became a Partner at the law firm of Wormald, Tessier, & Blanchard, LLC in Haverhill, Massachusetts.

In 2006, Charmaine opened her office in Beverly, Massachusetts as a Solo Practitioner focusing her practice on matters pertaining to family law and estate planning. She has built a reputation as a lawyer who treats clients with respect and compassion while zealously advocating in their best interests. Charmaine has taught as an Adjunct Professor at Bay State College. She is an active member of the community, serving on numerous Town appointed boards and committees. Charmaine is a member of the Essex County Bar Association and Beverly Chamber of Commerce.
